Welcome back Bargainista babes ❤ I’m here this week to provide a place to get away from everything going on in the world right now. Let’s talk lounge wear! Now is the perfect time to invest in some cute, and cozy lounge wear for these days at home. I’ve found that putting on a cute outfit helps to feel a little normal during these crazy times. I hope everyone is staying healthy and safe at home! Here are some cute ideas for lounge wear to help brighten up your day 🙂

“Let’s stay home.”

Sweats all day, everyday!

Sweats are the best piece of lounge wear you can buy. They are comfy, cute and can be styled many different ways. One way is to pair them with a cute crop top or crop sweatshirt. This makes your outfit look on trend and chic! Pairing you favorite sneakers with sweats make the look complete. Putting on shoes while staying home during these times can also make you feel more motivated to get up and do activities and can also help you feel more normal.

The perfect lounge sets

Matching lounge sets are the newest trend for cute and cozy looks. These sets are so easy to throw on, you don’t even have to try since they already match! Some even come with a matching cardigan for that added cozy touch. You can easily spice up the look by adding cute socks, slippers, and of course jewelry. These sets are perfect for grabbing your coffee in the morning and snapping that perfect selfie for the gram.

BIKER BABE

Biker shorts are another great lounge wear idea. You can style them with an over sized t-shirt or over sized sweatshirt for the perfect street look. You can also pair them with an over sized flannel with a crop top underneath for a cute, casual look. Add your favorite layered necklaces to make the outfit pop. Throw on a pair of Doc Marten boots for when you have to go get your groceries during this quarantine. Biker shorts are such a cute trend, they will make you feel comfy and confident during this pandemic!

A big thank you to all of our Bargainistas for keeping up with our weekly blogs! We appreciate and love you all, please stay safe and healthy during this quarantine. We hope our blog has felt like a little get away from life and we hope to keep you inspired ❤

Love always,

Marissa ❤

Searching for the Inspo!

Welcome Back Bargain Babes! Natalia here and I for this week’s post I wanted to share ideas on how to find inspiration for when you’re stuck staring at your closet not knowing what to wear.

Since you’re basically a pro at bargaining at this point, you can start looking for ways to put your new clothes to use! If you’re like myself, then you most likely struggle with figuring out what to wear. This part of getting ready is always stressful or fun because you either are on a huge time crunch or have plenty of time to experiment different looks.

To help make you’re life easier I’ve listed below some different sources of inspiration to help you style your outfit for the day.

1. Pinterest

Photos via pinterest

I’m sure most of you have heard of Pinterest, but just in case you haven’t you should definitely check it out. The site carries so many ideas for anything you’re looking for from planning parties to gifting ideas. So you definitely won’t be disappointed when searching outfits ideas because they have thousands of ideas to choose from. The best part is that you’re able to create your own “mood board” so that you don’t have to worry about losing your ideas.

3. Instagram/Influencers

Photos via Instagram

Instagram is probably one of the easiest ways to find outfits ideas because you’re able to see what everyone’s wearing or just added to their closet. The best way find inspiration is following instagram influencers only because they consistently post what they’re wearing every week. Another way to find more ideas is searing through the explore page or searching through hashtags.

3. Movies/TV Shows

Photos via Popsugar, Vogue, & Pinterest

Some people forget that a lot of good outfit inspirations can come from their favorite TV shows or movies, especially if they’re fashion based. Some good examples I’ve listed above are my favorites, The Devil Wears Prada and Gossip Girl. Even though both contain designer clothing, you can definitely find duplicates anywhere to recreate their looks.

4. Runways

Photos via Alexander Wang

Stealing ideas from fashion shows is probably the most common thing to do just because what ever comes out on the runway is what will be the next trend you’ll see in stores. I know that some of the clothes the designers come up with can be a little out there, but you don’t have to copy the look exactly and what I mean by that is use the colors, vibe, or individual pieces as a starter to put a look together.

Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone when trying a new look you’re not sure about. I hope my ideas have given you inspiration on where to look when you’re getting ready in the morning to start your day. Thank you for checking in for this week’s post and be sure to be back next week for more!

Thrifting – It’s Not Just For Hipsters

Hey Babes! Jacklin here with another great way to save some money while adding stylish looks to your closet –

Thrifting!

Thrifting is a great way to find some amazing pieces for an absolute bargain! Some of my favorite local thrift spots are Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads Trading Co., and Uptown Cheapskate. In addition to finding some killer deals, second-hand clothing stores are also a great option for getting rid of your unwanted items! Most of these stores offer higher store-credit versus cash back for the items you’d like to sell, so it’s a great incentive to swap our your old duds for something new!

Let’s Go Vintage!

Okay, I know some of you are probably rolling your eyes and thinking, “seriously? Bellbottoms and MC Hammer pants?”. Well… while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I’m a sucker for old school vintage styles, (especially bellbottoms, too cute!), and thrift stores are the best place to find unique vintage pieces that you wouldn’t be able to nab otherwise. From vintage lace to funky Coogi sweaters, there’s something fun for everyone’s style.

Can’t Get Enough of Those Biker Tee’s

I’m sure that you’re all aware of just how popular vintage tee’s have become – especially Harley Davidson tee’s. Brands like LF and 12thTribe are seriously capitalizing on the immense popularity and are charging insane amounts for these simple tees – upwards of $100! Instead of shelling out all your hard earned cash to those brands, you can go and find them on your own for a fraction of the price. I snagged a Harley tee at Uptown Cheapskate for just $10 that I cut into a super cute crop (identical to one being sold on 12thTribe for $82!).

& If You Wanna Get Fancy… Luxury Thrifting

ThredUp, Tradesy, and TheRealReal are just a few of the many companies offering higher-end second-hand apparel on the market. Available both in-store and online, these companies offer clothing from a wide array of brands, ranging from fast fashion to designer. You can find items from Zara, Banana Republic, Chanel, and even Lanvin. So if you’re looking for designer, these are the sites to get them all at a crazy good deal! Plus they’re all verified, authentic, quality designer pieces.

I hope that you guys are excited about thrifting and go out to find some fun local shops as well as checking out the online stores! Happy bargaining, Babes!

Insta-Worthy Vacation Outfits

#fashion #lifestyle #travel #vacayoutfits

Written by: Marissa Jacks

Hey Bargain babes! It’s Marissa back at it this week to help you plan out vacation outfits for your next big trip. It is officially vacation season and what a perfect time to update your closest with some vacay looks. It’s time to get excited to pack your suitcase. If you’re going to do some vlogging or Instagram posts during your trip, look no further for some outfit inspo!

“When in doubt, vacation”

Airport Outfits

Via Pinterest

What do you wear while traveling to stay comfy but still look cute? Sweats, sweats, sweats! They are such an essential in everyone’s wardrobe. You can easily make them look cute by pairing them with a cropped top or a hoodie and layering those with a cute jacket. Whether you chose an over-sized coat or a cropped jacket either one will look great and complete the outfit! You can’t forget to pair your airport outfits with comfy sneakers. Wearing your sneakers will also take a big bulk out of your suitcase making it easier to carry. They look trendy yet very easy to walk in (or run in) if you’re running late for that important flight!

Dresses Galore

Via Pinterest

Dresses are such a staple when it comes to vacation outfits. They make getting ready super fast since it’s a one and done outfit. Of course you can dress down or dress up items like the ones above. Add some cute white sneakers, a boater hat, or rancher hat for a day time look for exploring and picture taking. Or add some heels and a cute bag/clutch for an evening look. Always add jewelry! This will make a day or night look pop even more. Don’t forget to take those amazing pics for Instagram in your cute dresses!

Casual Outfits

Via Society 19, Pinterest

Denim Shorts, flowy skirts, and flowy pants are perfect to pair with a cute top for a casual look. These items look very cute and still comfy while exploring on vacation. Add some sandals, your favorite summer hat, and you are out the door! Always bring your sunnies for that “cool girl” factor to complete the outfit.

Suit up!

Via Pinterest

Bikinis are of course an essential on vacation. They are a few ways to make them trendy and stand out even more. One of the ways to take a swimsuit to the next level is add an over-sized button up over top. You can leave it unbuttoned for a laid back look or tie it up at the front. You can also add a long, sheer cover up over your suit for a glam look. Pair it with some sunnies and a boater hat and you’ll look like the trendiest girl around! Adding a cute beach bag with your essentials inside is key for a beach day on vacation. I hope you all loved this week’s blog post and got some inspo for your next vacation. Come back next week to see what us bargainistas have in store for you. Happy vacationing!

It’s All in the Lewk!

Welcome back my bargain sisters! It’s Natalia here and I have some more ideas for you to spice up that wardrobe without hurting that wallet. The exciting part is that some of these ideas don’t even require you spend a dime!

1. Tucking in your Shirt

Tucking in your shirt can be a game changer when you just don’t know how to spice up your outfit or know how to make it look different. Just like how Jackie was sharing last week, by adding accessories it’ll def step up your outfit. By adding a belt and a tucking in your shirt it’s game over.

2. Tying the front of your Shirt

Okay, so this one is probably my favorite one just because I am OBSESSED with the whole front knot trend. The best part is that it’s so easy that literally anyone can do it right before they walk out the door. It’s also perfect for those that aren’t really into crop tops and want to try something halfway.

3. When in Doubt, Throw on a Bralette

Bralettes are serious lifesavers for those days where you just don’t feel like putting on a bra, but still want to put in some kind of effort. A little tip I always use is that whenever I have a shirt that fits a little too lose I put on a bralette so that I feel secured yet am still able to show off my style.

4. Layer. It. Up.

This last one might be a little tricky only because when it comes to layering most people second guess themselves on whether or not it looks good. Trust me, I’m one of those people, but chances are the look you put together looks good and you just might not be used to seeing the new fit on you. Trust your gut and bring on the layers!

I hope you guys found some new ideas and inspos from my list and are able to create new looks within your wardrobe by spending little to no money. Make sure to check back next week for a new post with Marissa! Happy Bargaining lovelys!

Hats & Earrings & Belts, Oh My!

Hey again Bargainista Babes! Jacklin here to give you the scoop on the money saving tip of the week. As you guys might remember from our first post, I mentioned one of our favorite ways to snazzy up a simple outfit- with lot’s of fun accessories like belts, hats, watches, and more!

With accessories, you’re able to style the same outfit a dozen different ways. So just because your wardrobe is limited, it doesn’t mean that your style has to be stale!

Necklaces & Earrings

Necklaces & earrings are both timeless and effortless way to spice up even the most simple outfits. You could always keep it straightforward with one necklace, but why not layer them?! The more the merrier- the bargainistas love to layer.

My personal favorite & frequent go-to outfit is a simple tee, distressed denim, layered necklaces & some hoops. Nothing says effortlessly chic like an oversized tee and with some bling!

Belts

Adding onto my favorite casual ensemble of a tee, denim, and jewelry, is a killer belt. This is another very easy way to style the same outfit in multiple ways, and to also change silhouettes!

Hats

Just like I mentioned a few weeks ago- hats are my absolute favorite accessory because they’re an instant savior from bad hair days! Ball caps, fedoras, berets- the options are endless!

Now don’t think that these are the only items that you should be adding to your wardrobe! There are so many additional things for you to have fun with like hair accessories, purses, watches, rings, sunglasses, the list goes on! The world of accessories is so vast & oh so fun – so go explore and find your new favorites!

Happy bargaining, babes!

Spring time on a budget

Hey babes! My name is Marissa and I am one of the three girls that is apart of this blog. Today I wanted to share a few stores that are awesome to shop out for this upcoming spring/summer season. These stores are perfect if you want to stay on trend while balling on a budget!

Get the most bang for your buck

Sources: Google images

So these stores might seem to be a little overrated in some people’s eyes. But I believe they are a few of the best stores that keep on trend yet keep their prices low. They all have websites that are easy to navigate and shop on. These three brands also have new arrivals almost every day so that is another plus!

The puffy sleeve trend

Sources: Pinterest, Forever 21.com

The statement sleeve/puffy sleeve trend is so huge for spring and summer. We saw it all over the runways this year. On the runways they were very dramatic but I love how these brands toned them down and made them more wearable. You can find this trend at all three stores I mentioned above.

The tie dye trend

Sources: Forever21.com, Prettylittlething.com

Another trend that these affordable brands offer is the tie dye trend. This is one of my favorites because the tie dye includes beautiful pastel colors which are perfect for spring and summer. You can keep it comfy and casual with a sweatshirt and biker shorts. Or even find a cute tie dye dress and accessorize it. Tie dye can be so fun and versatile!

Scoring the Deal

Hello fellow bargainers! My name’s Natalia and I’m one of the three that shares this blog. Today I wanted to share with you when it’s the right time to get the best deal in your favorite stores. I’ve worked retail for about three and half years so I have a pretty good idea on when’s the best time to go shopping. Down below I’ve provided four tips on how to get a more bang for your buck.

Shopping Off-Season

I’m sure some of you guys have heard of Off-Season shopping, but just in case some of you guys haven’t it’s where stores mark down their seasonal items such as holiday collections to very low prices so that they are able to rid of them to make room for new product. The sales can be as high as 50-70% off old collections. This is where you, the bargainer, comes in to swoop in on these deals before they’re gone.

Loyalty Programs

Okay, I know you probably saw this one and rolled your eyes a little because we all know how annoying those promo emails can be taking up space in our inboxes. Just trust me on this one when I saw these loyalty programs will LITERALLY save you money. With most reward programs with every dollar spent is a number points that gets received and over time coupons are sent. Well if done right, you can save A LOT of money with the coupons by using them with the right promotions. I once got a pair of jeans that were 60% off and use a $15 coupon and only spent $5!! Sign up for the loyalty programs at your favorite stores and you won’t be disappointed.

Off Pricer Stores

Off pricer stores have been around for a good minute and I feel like not many people realize how much of a bargain you can find in these stores. Obviously, stores like Nordstrom Rack and Saks off 5th might have some items that are still a little on the pricier side, but you will still find deals that are worth it. There are other stores that are more wallet friendly such as TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Ross, etc. A good tip when shopping at these stores is to go to a location that is in a really nice area because retail stores base where they sell certain items off the location of the store. Chances are you’re more than likely to have a better selection.

Thrifting

This one might actually be my favorite one only because it’s something that can be done with friends. I’ve had my fair share of thrifting trips and I can honestly say you need patience for it because of the amount of digging you have to do, but if you’re going with the right people then it can be really fun. When thrifting, like I said in the previous tip, it’s all about LOCATION. For example, of you go to a thrift shop in Beverly Hills, then you more than likely to find name brands items at low prices. With this tip try to have fun with it as it can be turned into a fun experience.

Those are all the tips and tricks I have for you today and hope you’re able to benefit from at least one of them. Be sure to check back next week for more insides on how to be the best shopper. Happy bargaining!
